Identify the Need

When undertaking recruitment and retention work, one of the earliest activities is to identify physicians required to meet the current and future needs of the practice as well as the division, community, or region. This process involves more than simply replacing a departing physician with a new physician.  It includes considering a variety of factors such as the unique physician services required (e.g., subspecialties, in-patient care), and the nature of coverage required (e.g. short-term, long-term).
